Family portraits in the fall. It’s an incredible time of year, and, being a family portrait photographer, probably my favorite season. I love working out of my studio in Baltimore County but I’m equally excited about location sessions. Nitza, Brian, Michael, Elena, and Grayden met me in Shrewsbury, PA, for their family session. It was late in the day, the sun was setting, the light was perfect, and the kids were ready to go. Elena actually spent the entire day talking about the fact that she was having her picture taken. Capturing moments like these is what makes me realize the importance of photographs. If you have children, you know how quickly they grow up. In a blink of an eye, years go by and you’re left wondering what happened to the tiny little bundle you once held in your hands. Suddenly they are grown, running around, developing their own personality, making you a little crazy, but always filling your heart with more love than you ever thought possible. Family portraits are so important and I consider myself lucky to be a portrait photographer. Providing families with memories they can hold on to is incredible. These moments are fleeting. Make time to have portraits taken with your parents, your children, your grandparents, friends, and loved ones. I can’t thank Nitza and Brian enough for allowing me to capture these moments for them. By the way, did you see Elena’s hair? Those ringlets? Best. Ever.
